About Scott

I am Scott W. Anderson, a lifelong resident of Adjala‑Tosorontio and a sixth‑generation member of the Anderson family living in the Township.  I live in Lisle and my roots here are deep as my family and I have long supported local volunteer efforts and community life.  After twelve years as a Township Councillor, and having served on Township committees prior to my terms in office, I was elected Mayor for the 2022–2026 term.  In this role I represent Adjala‑Tosorontio at the County of Simcoe and on regional committees, and I work every day to ensure our Township is well governed, fiscally responsible, and focused on practical results.

My time in municipal office has emphasized governance reform, strategic planning, and securing major infrastructure funding to support responsible growth and improved services.  Under my leadership Council adopted the multi‑year strategic plan, strengthened operational practices, and advanced capital projects and community amenities.  The Township has pursued and secured significant provincial funding for water and wastewater upgrades, enabling replacement of aging facilities and expanding servicing capacity.

Community service has always been central to my life.  I am currently employed as a Postmaster for Canada Post in our area and have been deeply involved in local sport and volunteer activities for decades.  I’ve been a baseball executive, coach, and player, and helped maintain our local baseball park, continuing the multi‑generation stewardship begun by my father and grandfather.  I've also helped maintain outdoor ice rinks over the years and have coordinated the Lisle Santa Claus Parade for two decades.  Since 2005 I have served on the Lisle Community Hall Board, supporting the Hall's community programming.  Additionally I've been extensively involved in organizing the Township's Canada Day events for the past four years.

As Mayor I serve on a number of important boards and committees, including the Police Detachment Board, the Stevenson Memorial Hospital foundation campaign cabinet and on the Board of Directors for the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority.  Part of my role is to participate in many Township committees and community initiatives that keep me connected to residents and local priorities.
